Social Pedagogue to Nexus

We are looking for a Social Pedagogue for Nexus, a new initiative that includes an emergency school and a municipal special education group (KSU). Nexus is part of the municipality's support structure for students with extensive needs, where the regular school organization temporarily does not suffice.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social pedagogue at Nexus, you will work with students in need of extensive support within the framework of the emergency school and the municipal special education group (KSU). The role is relationship-oriented and involves close collaboration with colleagues, home school, guardians, and external actors.

Your responsibilities include:

• providing support within the school's compensatory support structures
• supporting students in developing social skills, motivation, and school attendance
• working with students' social and emotional difficulties through supportive conversations
• being present with students during the school day and contributing to structure, security, and predictability
• maintaining ongoing contact with guardians
• collaborating with home school and other relevant actors and assisting in transitions back to regular school activities

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• education as a social pedagogue or other equivalent education in social or psychosocial work
• documented experience working with children and youth, for example in schools, special education groups, HVB, or similar activities
• the ability to create safe and trusting relationships with students
• good communication skills and experience working in teams
• a valid driver's license (category B)

It is an advantage if you have education or experience in:

• TMO (Trauma-Informed Care)
• neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF)
• low-arousal approach
• MI (Motivational Interviewing)
